Oreos Meet Nutella

For this week's bake, Rob chose to create a cookie pie made of oreos and nutella. I can assure you that he had a list of needed ingredients and he didn't miss even one thing.  The recipe is below.

Oreo and Nutella Cookie Pie

From: Fit Waffle Kitchen  by Eloise Head

Ingredients

For the dough:

200g unsalted butter, softened
250g light brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
320g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
150g white choc chunks
120g Oreos, broken

For the filling:

300g Nutella
11 Oreos
300g Cookies & cream spread

Method

1. Add softened butter and light brown sugar to a bowl, beating until the mixture has turned light and fluffy.

2. Add egg yolks and a dash of vanilla extract before folding in plain flour and baking soda.

3. Mix the ingredients until they have formed into a dough, then pour in white chocolate chips and broken Oreo biscuits.

4. Press two thirds of the dough into an eight inch cake tin, smoothing out until it reaches the edge.

5. Spread Nutella over the top and a layer of 11 whole Oreos, before dolloping on cookies and cream spread.

6. Cover the pie with the remaining third of the dough, pressing out to form a seal with the tin, then bake in the oven at 350 F for 20 minutes.

Below are photos of Rob's bake.  If you're nuts about nutella and over the moon about oreos, give this bake a try. You won't be disappointed with this blending of tasty ingredients. Have a wonderful and tasty day.  Rob and Linda
